Join the Grand Rapids Bird City Team, including Grand Rapids Audubon Club, Kent County Parks, and Friends of Grand Rapids Parks for our first World Migratory Bird Day celebration!

Whether you’re an experienced birder, just getting started, or simply curious about the birds around you, there will be plenty to explore. Visit tables hosted by local organizations, meet volunteers who are passionate about birds and conservation, enjoy bird-related activities for all ages, and explore birding spots throughout Millennium Park.

This year’s celebration highlights the important role community science can play in migratory bird conservation. Learn about opportunities to participate in community science right here in Grand Rapids and discover how your own observations can contribute to our understanding and protection of birds.

Bring your sense of curiosity and stop by anytime between 9 AM and 1 PM to explore, learn, watch birds, and connect with others who care about our local bird community!
